FAQ
Can these templates help with essay length requirements like the 650-word Common App limit?
Yes. Each template includes a visible word count tracker in the footer, along with visual guides (e.g., dotted lines) to mark the 650-word boundary. Students can adjust spacing without exceeding limits, as the built-in formatting auto-adjusts line breaks. Always double-check final submissions against the institution’s specific guidelines, as requirements vary.
What if my essay needs a unique format, like a supplemental question with a video prompt?
These templates focus on core application essays, but you can adapt them by removing irrelevant headings and adding custom sections. For video prompts, keep the essay format intact for any written portions—many schools require supplemental essays to follow the same formatting as primary applications. Consult the school’s application instructions for specifics.
Will the templates work for essays in languages other than English?
Yes, but note that some built-in headers (e.g., “References” or “Works Cited”) default to English terms. For non-English essays, simply edit these fields while retaining the layout. Fonts like Arial or Times New Roman are universally supported, and the templates’ spacing accommodates languages with longer character sets. Test print previews to confirm readability.
